Bike racks on buses - ECAN looking for feedback from users

ECAN are seeking feedback from users of the Bikes on Buses racks.  If you have used the racks, take the time to fill out their response form.  You can find it on the Metro site here .

If you haven't used the racks yet, take the time to trial a bikes on buses route running near you!  Its an excellent way to combine the convenience of cycling with the advantages of public transport for longer trips (or if there are weather, safety or convenience reasons that might prevent you taking your bike).

Three new bike racks on buses routes have been added to the existing bus routes from 7 July.  They are:

7 Halswell-Queenspark      45 North Shore           46 Marshland

You can find route information about them here.  Routes 45 and 46 can be boarded/ disembarked at the Colombo St Bus Exchange stops, but for route 7 you must disembark/ board one stop before/ after the Exchange.

These routes join the following bike rack on buses routes introduced last November:

3 Airport-Sumner via Avonhead
* 11 Styx Mill-Westmorland
* 14 Harewood-Dyers Pass
* 15 Bishopdale-Beckenham
* 18 St Albans-Huntsbury
21 Ilam-Mt Pleasant
* 28 Lyttelton and Rapaki
35 Riccarton-Heathcote
77 Kennedy's Bush
* 90 Rangiora
* 92 Rangiora via Woodend and Waikuku

Routes with an asterisk (*)  can be boarded/ disembarked at the Colombo St Bus Exchange stops.
