Council policy on gender equality (relevant to Central City Draft Plan)

Hello everyone

Further to discussion at last evening's meeting around Target of equal participation in walking & cycling, CCC adopted some time back the Hilary
Commission’s “Winning Women’s Charter”, in particular: “Ensure
that all women and girls have the opportunity to participate in sport, fitness
and leisure in a safe and supportive environment which preserves the rights,
dignity and respect of the individual" AND “Promote
the recognition by women of the intrinsic value of sport, fitness and leisure
and its contribution to personal development and healthy lifestyles”

I think that reference to this should go in the Submission on the Central City Plan
