Monck`s Bay to Scarborough Beach Parks Issues and Opportunities

CCC have released an Issues and Opportunities report on proposals for public lands and roads bordering the coast between Monck's Bay and Scarborough. The report addressess a number of coastal management issues in the area, but of particular interest for cyclists and pedestrians are the potential opportunities identified to upgrade and widen the existing informal paths along the coast to provide an off road shared pathway, address some cycling and pedestrian pinchpoints on the adjoing road, and generally improve the coastal edge for recreation. 

Once comment has been received, a Masterplan will be developed for the area. Consultation on the Issues and Opportunities part of the process closed on 8 September.
