Description:
NZTA are consulting on options for upgrading/ improving the Memorial Ave/ Russley Road intersection (on the way to the Airport). Not much account appears to have been taken of the needs of cyclists and walkers.

This is one of the worst roundabouts I have ever experienced as a cyclist, Cars accelerate through it like a chicane and I have had so many close calls that I now walk across it rather than ride it.
A huge number of people that work at the airport cycle to and from work and all have the same complaints. I also know a large number of people who don't cycle because of it.
It's not what you ride, it's that you ride.
