So just over two weeks ago Spokes Canterbury Cycling Association had our Annual General Meeting for 2024.

We ran through a couple of major things in the meeting;

• Firstly and most importantly, we have adopted a new constitution!
• We are now compliant with the 2022 act requirements for incorporated societies and can now reapply to the registrar of societies which we will be doing very soon.
• We also elected our officers and approved treasurer reports though we are still missing someone to step up to be chair of Spokes.
  • Chair – Not elected, we are still looking for someone to step up and take over this role, if you know of anyone please contact secretary@spokes.org.nz
  • Secretary – George Laxton
  • Treasurer – Robert Fleming
  • Submissions co-ordinator – Anne Scott
  • Executive Committee – Anne Scott, Allan Taunt, George Laxton, Robert Fleming
• Finally we put forward a motion to set the Spokes membership fee at $0
  • We are still in discussions as to what the membership fee will be so currently it will be $0
