Once again it is time for our AGM.
This year it will be held at the Pegasus Arms, 14 Oxford Terrace (near Christchurch Hospital).
The Pegasus Arms is also easily accessed from Tuam Street between Antigua & Montreal Street, closer to Antigua Street end.
Emily Cambridge, a Landscape Architect working in the area of Active Transport Integration at Beca’s Christchurch office, has agreed to talk at the AGM.
Emily is always an interesting speaker, so come along to be inspired and challenged!
Here is her bio from the PechaKucha talk she gave on Friday 7/5/21:
“Emily is an Associate Landscape Architect at Beca and specializes in transformational cycling and walking projects around New Zealand. Emily is also studying part time towards a Masters in Urban Design. In 2019 she was selected as one of 30 from around the world to attend Summer School at the University of Amsterdam. Here she completed a ‘Planning a Cycling City’ course. The course explores planning, practicalities and the motivations for cycling and how we can better plan and design for cyclists. While in Amsterdam she explored other Dutch cities and events including the International Cargo bike Festival in Groningen. She is passionate about the humble bicycle and is motivated to enable more people to feel safe using active travel options in our city”.
